Breaking and sucking back up in the undertow behind the gloss
Colours pop
Lights are too bright
There is too much to touch and not enough to hold onto

Interests:
Networks, communities, collaborations. Self-organization, horizontality, Counter-economic strategy. Mapping, communicating, open-sourcing. Femininity, vocality, visual economy. Screen, surface, seduction. Colour, Spectacle, Harmony. Sexuality, nudity, pornography. Metaphor, affinity, potentiality. Singing, gasping, painting. Physicalizing, imagining, dancing. Mirroring, seeing, revealing. Voicing, not silencing. Critical mass, not market force. Public not private. Shared experience not de-sensitization. Grassroots not top-down. Sensor not sensorium. Active not passive. Dreams not nightmares. Seeing and believing. Idealism over apathy.

The backbone of my work is formed from my investigation into the ideologies, hegemonies, hierarchies and power structures that permeate an increasingly pervasive global visual culture. By reading, researching, collaborating, making and communicating, I work in the hope of giving and receiving the ability to look again, to look back, to look forward, to see through, and to see past.

"...The spectacle to some extent is ominous because it presents itself as our natural landscape…either we can digest it and absorb it into our systems passively or we can actively chew it, process it, and regurgitate it in forms that reflect more acutely on the context out of which such a culture stems..." - Candice Breitz
