My work is centred on how society influences women, from our notions of physical beauty, to what stereotypical roles women play.

I wanted to explore the unrealistic demands that society places on women. The ‘ideal’ beauty and the ‘ideal’ body type are myths that a lot of women in western society punish and deprive themselves for. For a woman to adhere to all the requirements placed on her by western culture she would have to be a super human character from a comic book.
