Whether it is the other or the self we are all infinitely connected. How? Is it a Jungian collection of archetypical imagery that draws us together or merely genes and social constructs? Art is a metaphorical tug on this link, and craft draws us to question the cultural preconceptions surrounding it. This link is made all the more difficult by modern ideas of the outsider versus the self; and the fear that surrounds this unknown 'other'. I am interested in drawing together these two roles. I hope to gain insight into human constructions of the individual and the collective.
